Your daily devotion to us is stunning,
You spurt second chances like a well freshly dug.
You show true grit while running,
Inspiring the rest of us to do the same.
In the classroom you give entertaining stories,
Each one with a hidden moral.
You let us get together in projects,
And often calm our useless quarrels.
You encourage us to no end,
And always give us a reason to look forward to school.
Because of you we know much more than before,
Ranging from math, social studies, science and learning tools.
Most teachers couldn’t stand us;
We’re just too naughty and loud.
But you, Mr. Voorhees, are grand to us,
Because you are capable of taming us.
